"A photograph is, in simple terms, a painting made with light."

Not sure where exactly I read this but it has definitely impacted me deeply AND one of the reasons why I'm a photographer, a cinematographer and an editor! I consider photography not just as a means to capture moments but also as a form of language. 

As a kid, this artform was nowhere to be seen in my life. Even though my father had a film camera and later, a point and shoot digital camera, I still wasn't interested in photography. I reckon it was because I was pre-occupied with my notions of becoming an astrophysicist! I even have a degree in physics. However, by the time I was done with my second year of college, I decided to switch to photography, although I did finish my degree! 

I was on a trip around India, with my sister for her PhD interviews and because I had nothing to do during the trip, I started clicking pictures on my smartphone, edited them in Instagram itself and uploaded them. Soon, this little activity to escape boredom turned into something serious. Now, there's no speck of doubt. This is what I do and I'll do this for as long as I can!
